Employment Equity
Land Bank aims to achieve employment Equity, through
- The elimination of unfair discrimination in all Land Bank
- The implementation of affirmative action measures to advance black people, women and person with disabilities (designated groups)
- Redress imbalances of the past through fostering diversity
- Ensure that all people of South Africa are equitably represented within Land Bank
To this end all Land Bank Business Units ensure compliance by:
- Prohibiting and combating unfair discrimination and harassment among employees and create a culture that respects diversity, equality and dignity for all in the workplace;
- Promoting the equitable representation of designated groups and disadvantaged persons at every occupational level;
- Accommodating the reasonable needs of designated groups and disadvantaged persons;
- Preparing the ground for successful change through appropriate and ongoing investment in training and education;
- Addressing status and wage disparities in the workplace through consultation, bargaining, and skills development and;
- Matching best practice benchmarks for employment equity.
